The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) wishes to inform the public that it has no group on Whatsapp, dedicated to the commission's recruitment 2020/2021. It stated that the commission is currently not recruiting, and any publication or advertorial to the contrary, in the social or mainstream media, is the work of scammers which the public needs to be cautious and be on alert so as to avoid being their victim. The commission said that employment into the EFCC is not an under-the-table affair, as such exercise is usually preceded by elaborate advertorial in the media and Commission’s social media platforms. Furthermore, It urged the public to treat with caution fraud alert messages on whatsapp ascribed to the EFCC Help Desk Headquarters Jabi, Abuja, stating that such messages are not from the EFCC as the commission has no 'Help Desk'.
