Despite the National leader of the All Progressive Congress (APC), Bola Tinubu stating that he made a mistake when he said, "50 million youths should be recruited into the Nigerian Armed Forces", he has continued to receive criticism for his statement.
One of such critic is from Femi Fani-Kayode, who said that making a mistake was fair enough but asked if he also made a mistake when he paused and looked vacantly into the air for 12 seconds during his speech.
He said,
"You say you mentioned 50 million "by mistake" & that you meant to say 50 thousand. Fair enough. Did you make another "mistake" when you paused and looked vacantly into the air for 12 seconds during your speech? Was that an error too or did you just forget what you wanted to say?"
