The Central Bank of Nigeria (CBN) has awarded N253.54 million grant to 5 researchers under its Healthcare Sector Research and Development Intervention Scheme (HSRDIS).
it stated that the HSRDIS Body of Experts (BoE) has evaluated 68 proposals out of 286 submissions made by researchers.
Speaking, CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele has urged corporate institutions to support research and development for the overall good of Nigeria.
While restating Bank's commitment to support the growth of the Nigeria's health sector, he assured more grants based on recommendation of HSRDIS Body of Experts (BoE).
Also, CBN Governor, Mr. Godwin Emefiele; Secretary to the Government of the federation, Boss Mustapha; Minister of State (Health), Dr. Olorunnimbe Mamora stated support for Research and Development (R & D) in Nigeria's health sector.
