Bobi Wine has blasted operatives of the Local Defense Units (LDU) over the death of a man, Wycliffe Shambi who was shot dead during the curfew. He said that trigger-happy LDUs continues to kill people in the name of enforcing a senseless curfew that serves no purpose in the context of Uganda. Bobi stated that each day the country get reports of innocent citizens murdered, and extrajudicial killings have no place in civilised society. The Munyonyo Martyrs' Shrine - Uganda Martyrs Basilica shared the news concerning the death of Shambi who was an active member of St Francis choir. It reads, "We have lost an active member of St. Francis Choir singing always during 11’o clock mass. He was shot dead last night during curfew by LDU officer. Rest In Peace Wycliffe Shambi "Eternal rest grant unto him, O Lor."
