Politician Femi Fani-Kayode has commended the effort of the 4 northern Governors and that of Gov. Seyi Makinde and his team for what they did at Bodija today.
According to him,
Had it not been for the visit of the 4 northern Governors and the remarkable efforts of Gov. Seyi Makinde and his team who were up all night monitoring the situation, appealing the warring communities and disarming angry youths all hell would have been let loose in Bodija today.
Earlier today, Governor Seyi Makinde (Oyo), Abdullahi Ganduje (Kano), Bello Matawalle (Zamfara), Abubakar Bagudu (Kebbi), and Abubakar Bello (Niger) visited the Shasha market in Ibadan to proffer a lasting solution to the clash between Yoruba and Hausa.
Also, victims of the violence were said to be provided for, so as to alleviate their suffering and further assistance will be given after the issue has been tabled before other colleagues in NGF.
