Personal assistant on new media to Nigerian president, Bashir Ahmad has debunked stories of him being appointed as a manager of DPR, a department of Ministry of Petroleum Resources by President Muhammadu Buhari.
He stated that a friend of his informed him about the story from an online news blog, which he regarded as false and not being a staff of the DPR.
Bashir said,
A friend sent me a link to a concocted story from an online news blog that the President has quietly appointed me as a manager of the DPR, a department of Ministry of Petroleum Resources, for those who want to know the truth, the story is 100% FALSE. I am not a staff of the DPR.
It was reported by Peoples Gazzette, a digital news outlet, on Monday that Ahmad was appointed “to supervise a powerful and lucrative division at the Department of Petroleum Resources (DPR) — a role that supersedes his work experience and area of expertise.”
However, Bashir denailed story as 100% FASLE and not even being a staff of the DPR.
