What happens when you stop learning?

Learning is an activity which involves the acquisition of knowledge from something that is being studied, read, or practiced. It is an act that is practiced by all - young and old - for various reasons that is known to them.

There is an assertion that states - as long as a person exist so does he continue to learn; this assertion is false because you can only learn by either engaging in an activity or doing something, for instance - a person who about doing his work and a person who sleeps all day because he has someone doing those work, who do you think performing a learning activity? Am sure you would say the man who is doing work; this is so because you can't achieve anything if you don't work for it. That is how the learning process works, you have to make a move in other to get a result.

An individual who is determined to stop learning will only have one result, which is becoming old. Getting old in this content has nothing to do with age, it imply the mind. It doesn't matter whether you are eighteen or sixty; learning keeps the mind young and fresh because of the new things that you get to know.

Evolution is constantly taking place and new ways and methods of doing things are every day discovered; declaring that you want to stop learning only make you stay in the past, it keeps you behind from getting to know what's new. Evolution is time which doesn't wait on anyone, it is constantly happening even without your knowledge and forever continuous.

You might be younger in age but your mind becomes old when you stop learning because you are stuck with knowledge of the past, which often times can't be compared with knowledge of the new age.

Learning is a constant activity, do not stop learning because it makes us live forever and able to contribute to the society.
