Ten (10) life lesson needed in other to stand out and stay relevant

BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE

1.  There is a time where you should pursue purpose and not people. Focus on the assignment God has committed to your hands. As you start out on that quest, relate with people but don't form alliance too soon.

2.  Perceive the right relationship genuinely. Association doesn't confer same honor with those you are associating yourself with, progress does. The popularity of a man of God can't release fire on you, you will need to fan into flame intentionally the gift of God in you.

3.  Don't erode your genuineness because you want to fit into some circles. Don't despise the company you started with because their results aren't visible yet. There are some circles of men that you don't belong for the now, don't try to forcefully meet up. The people you are dying to meet will eventually come for you if you keep progressing.

4.  Don't try to form or show people other than who you truly are for the sake of getting attention, you will end up being hypocritical. There is a thin line between faith and fake.

5.  Don't try to proof that you have arrived a dimension or status you are yet to experience by hiding under the umbrella of faith. You can't fake it to make it, stop pretending to be who you are not.

6.  Understand that life is turn by turn; time and chance happen to all men. That someone is ahead of you in ministry, exploits, impact or progress is not the reason why you are behind. Celebrate, appreciate and learn from those that are ahead of you, their age not withstanding.

7.  Don't join the league of men who are quick to criticize and find fault in the progress of others. You can't be a fault finder and be a pathfinder at the same time, you can only be one. You can't attract what you criticize and despise neither can you become what you attack.

8.  Exposing yourself to every meeting and following every public figure can be a sign of confusion. Be rooted and stay put. You should not be seen everywhere. That's not how to spread. We don't spread by jumping up and down. We spread by staying rooted and taking more roots.

9.  Always check your motives. Why are you honouring that invitation? Honouring some invitations will only expose your deficiency as a minister. You should know your level as a minister, some platforms are bigger than you for the moment.

Why do you want that career? Why do you want to start that business? Why do you want that relationship? Define your intentions before giving it your attention as you stay rooted in His will.

10.  Hard to believe that some men who could be blazing the trail have disappeared because they appeared too soon on platforms they haven't built capacity to sustain. Many are missing today in the company of the great because they made their progress too evident for men to see when they are yet to really lay hold on the key to longevity.
