Communication is everything and in everything, there is nothing we want to achieve that doesn't involve communication. Every organization needs communication to function, but not every organization knows how to communicate effectively, most especially from their top staffs to the bottom staffs.
Most often, bottom staffs of big organizations don't get to know what's fully happening in the organization, and even if they do it won't be the whole story. Big organisations are fond of hiding the truth or story from their bottom staffs because of reasons known to them. This shouldn't be how communication in an organization should be; it should be all about honesty in communication.
Every staff of an organization is important - even down to the cleaners, because of the functions they perform which are definitely important to the organization. It is said that respect is reciprocal, so is communication - you have to communicate with your workers for them to communicate with you, and it should be in an honest way.
As management of an organization, you should treat every body as deserving to know the facts, don't try to hide the story or give them half the story. Treat them as true equals because the lack of communication or lie in communication promotes mistrust, and where their is no trust their is no progress.
You have to communicate and communication, it should be a continous thing between people that works for you, people that you work for, people that you relate to in business; everybody must exhibit an honest communication system if the organization is to succeed. It's about communication and honesty, and it begins with you!
