During the time of slavery, everything was a command and obey system with no questions asked; all that was required was obedience in other to survive, but whereas when such obedience is not adhered to, it becomes hardship for the slave, and possibly death.
The reason as to why slaves obeyed their master down to the latter, was not because they couldn't fight back or didn't have the strength to fight back; it was because they have fear for their master and fear of their life.
The fear grows into them and becomes their only passion because back then even though they were obedient, they never liked being enslaved, due to the fact that it brought untold hardship, pain, suffering, and negativity to the victims and their children. Even children (babies, adolescent, and teens) were amongst those that was enslaved; as long as the parent of the child were slaves, so were offspring.
As individuals, it is very normal to be afraid, but such fear should not outweigh your courage; it should be that the amount of courage you posses should be like 90% while fear 10%.
Don't let fear rule your life like the slaves, say what you want to say, do want you want to do, be what you want to be, have what you want to have; be your own boss, do not allow anyone be a dictator in or to your life.
Make a say that you shall not lead your life by fear, and shall not be led into fear. Don't lose your confidence and courage, because when you do you become afraid to face anything that challenges you, which could have a lasting effect on you.
Be not like the slave who has the passion of fear, but like the slave who have the passion of courage to liberate himself; and uplift your brothers when you are uplifting yourself.
