Why do you need to have revenge? It is because you feel it would give you justice, it would make you have peace, for the fun of paying back and retaliation, to let your anger out. Revenge is said to be a dish served cold, meaning it is more satisfying when done unexpected or long feared; but have you thought how the world would be if everybody keeps seeking revenge, most especially using the wrong method, it would lead to hatred and more hatred.
There are many justifiable means of getting revenge, like: court, police, law enforcement agencies etc, rather than through violence, because when you take the matter into your own hands, you will only make things worse; Use the system to get justice not revenge.
An eye for an eye means whatever wrong or harm a person does to you, is what you will also do to that person; for instance, anybody that steps on you, you will also step on the person. It is a do me I do you system; which is very wrong system and spells out the word 'Revenge' written all over it.
The world resulting to a system of an eye for an eye would only do more harm and no good because it would make everyone go blind, and we won't be able to see what we all can accomplish together, but on the other hand we choose the opposite of revenge, which is love, greater things can be achieved and we can live in peace.
Togetherness brings everybody closer - it makes us seek reconciliation rather than revenge, peace rather than violence, love rather than hate, happiness rather than sorrow, victory rather lose, gain rather than lose. If the world can't be together, then we should learn to be together and practice it to our best form.
Reconciliation should be sought rather than revenge.
