BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE
A friend of mine sent me a picture of a very beautiful Cartier wrist watch and she wrote; "#45,000, Grab this now".
My humble response to her; "for me to GRAB this now considering the price is GRA GRA but I choose to be GUIDED rather than doing GRA GRA. I must commend you for your business, if I don't patronize you now, I will do in the future as I trust that there are folks that will be able to afford your goods for the now."
Then she sent me another "RICHARD MILLE" wrist watch as she said; "this one is #135,000", I believe it is small for you".
I took a pause from viewing the picture and I responded; "I will only buy the wrist watch if it will tell me the date I will get married and when Jesus is coming back again".
LESSONS
- Don't ignore your friends who get to share details of the goods they sell and the services they render even when you are not ready to patronize them for reasons known to you. A word of encouragement would go a long way and tell them how nice their goods are even when you can't afford them or when you don't need them.
- Don't try to please anyone for what you know you don't have the capacity to afford at the moment. You may smile when you purchased the item in the presence of the seller but you will end up with tears alone when you are using the item.
- When you relate with those that sell goods and you can't afford them or you aren't ready to buy their items, a light atmosphere of cracking their ribs won't be a bad idea.
How you made them laugh could be medicine to their mental health, you don't know what they are going through in such moment.
