Leadership is a position of being the leader of a group, organization or country; with that position comes the power to fulfil the responsibility that has been assigned to you. It is a task which you have been entrusted because you are believed to have the quality of promoting the interest of the people that you lead.
Like it is said, two heads are better than one; Leadership is a task that cannot be done by a single person, it needs people who will assist to get the job done. These people are given positions to hold, with the responsibilities of performing certain duties while reporting directly to the leader who put them in charge of that position.
Most times; when leaders want to pick people to work for them, by placing them in position they pick people who are related to them either in blood, place, language, or friends. To them it doesn't matter if the person has the will power or knowledge about the task, what matters is the thought of trusting that person to work for your own benefit, which is wrong.
A leader should not favour tribalism, favorism, nepotism and be biased when picking people to work for the good of the community, the betterment of the community should be the up most concern as the leader; you need to surround yourself with good people who have the ability, judgement, knowledge and passion to do work.
Ability to be able to do something, it is one's level of skill at doing something; Good judgement at making sensible decision about what to do and what to do; Knowledge in information, skill and understanding that is gained from learning, practicing and experiencing to be properly used in one's duty; Passion for service.
These criteria should be what concerns the leader in other to get the right people who would work for the promotion of the community and it's objective. Surround yourself with positive thinkers who are ready to work, no matter how difficult, and you would get positive results in return.
