There is no successful business that is not achieved through knowledge. It is what makes and set the objective of the business, decisions are made, determines how it is handled, and a guide to the success of the business.
Every different business has it's own knowledge of how it can succeed; for instance, the knowledge a cement dealer has with cement cannot be used by an oil dealer or the knowledge of a caterer in cake baking cannot be used by a brick layer in building blocks etc. For every business, it is a different knowledge; and such knowledge should be applied to it's particular business.
It would be a catastrophic result, if someone who is majorly involved in car dealing decides to change from it and go into music without any knowledge about it; such a person would end up failing because he hasn't the adequate knowledge that would have helped him to succeed. He might be doing well in car dealing because of the knowledge and experience but his involvement in music would be fatal because of his lack of knowledge.
Anyone that wishes to go into a business must first acquire the necessary knowledge about such business; you mustn't think that because of your success in one, you will also succeed in the other without proper knowledge. You should understand every detail of your business before going into it and and ensure that you continue to gain knowledge when involving in it.
As long as you are ready to succeed and prepared not to fail; you should get yourself first the knowledge of the business before looking at the monetary aspect.
