Skill is the ability to do something well, it is being good at accomplishing a task because it has been learnt and practiced for a long period of time. There are no limit to what an individual can be skilled at, so far they have the capability and capacity to withstand what it takes to be good at it.
For an individual to acquire skill, it takes three force to be in operation for him or her to be qualified at being skilled at something. They are:
- Experience: This is an everyday life activity, it takes consistent learning as well as practice to be experienced. Both activities (learning and practicing) must be put together, in other to make the skill acquisition process faster. If the individual is just learning without practicing, they will be only good at the intellectual aspect; you have to learn the words as well as practice the words because you gain more knowledge when you do.
- Intellect: In the learning process, the individual gains knowledge and understanding of the subject matter, and uses it to think intelligently in resolving cases that are linked, related, or concerning the subject learnt.
- Passion: This is the love for an activity, it is the strong feeling of desire towards something. In any activity that an individual is involved in, he or she needs passion in other to carry out their task diligently, efficiently, and happily. Passion makes an individual to be happy at what he or she is doing even in the most difficult and unpleasant situation, it makes you get the job done very well.
These three forces aids an individual to diligently acquire as much skill as they want, it makes you to be good at what you are doing, and for them to work well they must be unified.
