It is a known fact that employees are people who works for somebody in other to get paid in return, they are expected to carry out their duty professionally because of the payment they get in return. This payment can be in form of wage or salary; wage is paid hourly, daily or weekly while salary is paid at the end of the month. 

An employer needs to understand that salary/wage doesn't fully make your employees work effectively, they only do their job because they will get paid in return. For you to fully get the most about your employees, you need to make extra effort for you to get extra results. The result is your profit; the more your effort, the more profit you will make. 

In other for an employer to get the best out of the employees, there needs to be drastic steps that needs to be taken, such as:

  1. Employ good people: Being good is not written on the face, you have to talk with them and see how ready they are for the job. They need to be prepared, willing, up to the task, and have a good mindset before being employed to take the job. You should carefully and wisely select people you want to employ. 
  2. Set out the rules: All business employers have rules on their business and how they want the employees to operate. After carefully selecting your employees; you need to tell or show them the rules on which they are to carry out their duty. 
  3. Communicate with the employees: Employing an individual and telling them rules on which to operate doesn't just set it right. The employer needs to communicate constantly with their employees so as to have proper information on what is going on in the business. They need to make their employees feel free to talk to them in relation to the business and how it can be grown. 
  4. Motivate your employees: You have to motivate them to work hard and willing to achieve the desired goals and objectives of the organization. 
  5. Reward your employees: Lastly, reward them when they have done or achieve something. This reward is not the usual salary or wage you pay them, it is just external. The reward can be in form of cash, promotion and commission. It let's your employees know that their efforts are being appreciated and make them work harder.

Employers that wishes to get the best out from their employees needs to consider these aforementioned steps and put it into good use effectively, and be rest assured that everything would work out just as it has been planned.
