Then Elijah said to him, “Elisha, STAY HERE, PLEASE, for the Lord has sent me on to Jericho......”- 2 Kings 2:4
Elijah begged and gave Elisha an option to consider convenience in his pursuit but he declined. Elisha had an excuse to reduce his pace in seeking his desires.
So sad today that we experience the opposite; we beg people to take spiritual responsibilities serious, attend spiritual meetings and so on.
You may have to get to a stage where you are pitied by your level of desperation in seeking God for what you will eventually lay hold on to be envied.
If anyone hasn't started begging you to reduce the level of your commitment in seeking God sir, you haven't started.
If you are yet to get excuses that appeals to a carnal man to reduce your pace in your sacrifices for spiritual progress then you still have more to engage ma.
BEYOND YOUR CONFORT ARE THE REALITIES OF YOUR CONQUEST.
What you call stress or inconvenience for a carnal man is a price and necessity to engage for a spiritual man to get what he desires.
Convenient Christianity cannot produce consistent spiritual progress.
Superficial Christianity cannot produce supernatural experiences.
Listen, you are not doing a minister a favour to be attentive or for concentrating during a ministration at a program neither are you doing the convener of a meeting a favour by attending the meeting.
There is nothing casual about any spiritual engagement, it requires an intentional and a deliberate approach to provoke the realities that are packaged in a spiritual meeting or a personal spiritual activity.
May God give us understanding.
