Are you just a father or a real father to your children?
Generally, Fathers are known to be the head of the family, they are the breadwinner of the family and makes all decisions along with the assistance of the mothers. They have much responsibility on their shoulders, such as - protection, guidance, provision etc.
With all this and other on their shoulders, they still have the responsibility of being there or available for the family, most especially their children.
There is a big difference between being a father to your children and being a real father to your children. In this article, both father and real father are the same man. We are not talking about two different people. It is the same person (father and real father) but just how different they appear to their children.
What makes being a father to your children and being a real father to your children different? Let's find out....
Being just a father to your children
To be just a father to your children, It is more like bearing it like a title which have no responsibility. You appear to your children as someone who simply bore them into the world because you do not perform the responsibilities that are expected of you. Such responsibilities includes but are not limited to: protecting, providing, guiding, being the head of the family, caring, etc. You cannot be relied on for anything and you are not looked up to.
These kind of fathers rather than them being relied on, they are the type to reply on either wife or even their children. Nothing actually comes from this kind of fathers and most of the time they are not around.
People that are most affected by this are the children especially when they it has a never impact on them but it doesn't prevent them from turning out good if they have the right guidance and are properly taken care of.
Being a real father to your children
This is the direct opposite of the former. Here the father acts as the father, performing all responsibility expected of him. To this kind of man, it is more than a title and is prepared to take responsibility when called upon. He put the family as his top priority and make plans that best suits the entire household.
These kind of fathers are prepared to take as well as make sacrifices so that their would be peace, love and most of all the children would turn out better than him.
Before an individual plans on becoming a father, he should plan, prepare and be ready for every challenge that comes his way. Remember that with action comes consequences and consequences requires responsibility. Like Pope John XXIII said,
It is easier for a father to have children than for children to have a real father.
