Team are group of people who either come together or are put together to work towatds completing and achieving a task while solo on the other hand is single, and work done alone without anyone assistance. Game in this context, is an activity in which people compete with each other.
It has been said that two heads are better than one, this is what makes a team better because they are made up of individuals who seeks to achieve a goal, work together to achieve that goal, and combine resources, thoughts and experience to attain the goal. Whereas solo is just single person who single-handedly works towards the attainment of a goal.
Why team games are better than solo games?
Like has been stated by Reid Hoffman,
No matter how brilliant your mind or strategy, if you are playing a solo game, you will lose to a team.
This saying is not far from the truth, a solo player will always lose to team players because of the amount of contributions that are made. Team games have it more easy for their players because of the ideas that are put together.
One individual cannot be compared to group of individuals no matter how brilliant the individual is or the idea. For instance, in the series: Big Bang Theory, Sheldon Cooper is the most brilliant, loves working by himself and considers himself the most smartest yet he till ends up losing to s rival team when it comes to competing.
Reasons that make team games better than solo games
- It is interesting working together with people because it makes the job fun and not tedious and boring.
- The work load are reduced as there is division of labor
- Attaining the goal becomes quicker as a result of division of labor
- Makes the work easier
- It encourages responsibility
Disadvantages of team work
- You get to share credit.
- If a person doesn't do or get the job done properly, he gets to take all the blame if the work goes wrong.
