I remember sometimes ago, I was privileged to go swimming with some of my colleagues. Because I couldn't swim, I considered having a life jacket on. As long as I had the jacket on, I couldn't reach some depths of the pool because I knew I would float despite my try. I couldn't move freely in the water because I couldn't release myself to swim.
My other colleagues who didn't have any jacket on them and could swim were navigating through different areas of the pool while I was stagnant and confided to a spot. Though I love to swim and loved what I saw my friends did but I was restricted. This experience taught me a lesson.
Hmmmm! We have remained stagnant for long. That we are floating in the ocean of the spirit doesn't mean we are progressing. Though we are not drowning but being stagnant on the face of the water is not God's intention for our life, "deep calls unto deep".
It's time to remove the life jackets we have held on to, we don't want to float any more, we want to swim in the ocean of the spirit (Ezekiel 47) and navigate through depths. The ocean current is very high in this season as the spirit of God hovers over the waters.
Let's free ourselves from these life jackets of church doctrines, false teachings, spiritual negligence and complacency, pulpit rivalry, gospel without power and so on. They are only making us remain on a spot. We cannot experience the supernatural in full expression when we have these jackets on.
As for me, I will remain kitted in my swimming trunk of fasting and prayers, I would remove all life jackets and take a swimming posture. I will yield myself to the ocean current as I desire to navigate through deeper dimensions in God.
I want to be soaked until the supernatural becomes my lifestyle. This spiritual journey is a metamorphosis that requires constant progress. I will release myself for this flood of the spirit to carry me behold the natural realm of the flesh to a place of unlimited manifestations of the power of God.
I would stay connected with folks who can increase the frequency of the ocean current and create an atmosphere of worship for everyone not to swim against the tides. Men who could show us different swimming techniques that we need as the ocean current increases and the Holy spirit would give oxygen to our weary souls.
If I were you, I will start preparing my swimming trunks and disengage anything that would rob me of missing this journey.
