It's not everyone that deserve your attention: 5 lessons of progress (by Masterpiece David Olawade)

As we progress in our quest in fulfilling purpose; many would despise us while some will desire us; many would try to access us due to what they can gain from us while some will remain assets to us by sharing in our pains and render due assistance when we need them.

Many would take advantage of our relationship with them while others would make us be at the advantage for knowing them by showing momentary concern about our progress. Many would desire to hang around you, but occasions would reveal their loyalty.

1. Some folks are looking for that one thing we would do wrong so they could forget all the good things we have been doing over time and get license to criticize our good works while others have made up their minds that they could prove their loyalty more in our down times.
2. Many times, God would use people you have never seen before to do a work those that have been with you failed to do for you. Other times, He uses those you have never been good to to do the things those you have always been very good to failed to do.
3. In some tribulation and persecution moments, men that are not really close to you could speak and stand by you when those that you claim to be close to you would feel ashamed to identify with you and they would connive with your critics to bring you down. It's not every one you sacrificed things for that desire to sacrifice their own attention or resources for you when you need them. It's not every one you can go extra miles for that is ready to go an inch for you.
4. Do good and be kind to people not because you want them to pay you back in such manner but because doing good is just you. Don't let people's negative pay back make you compromise your kind gesture because if you end up compromising, you have given them the victory for being or acting the way they are. You should make your persistent kind gesture win them in the long run.
5. People love to despise what they can't categorize to their taste or what they can't measure up to instead of connecting to it or celebrating it. You can't harness what you don't honour.

A time is coming when those that didn't believe in you when you were depositing and investing into your personal life and development would be ashamed to withdraw from it when God elevates you
