Customers are the power house for an organization that seeks to make profits from products they sell or service they render. They are the real boss in the organizaton because of the influential power they possess in the business.
This influential power is derived from purchase, this is so because the organization sells to the public and derives profits from their sales; if the customers happens to take their money elsewhere the organization loses and would fold up.
In other for an organization to keep the customers coming back to purchase their product/service, they do whatever it takes to ensure that this motive is achieved by keeping them happy.
The happiness could be in product satisfaction, product price, delivering desired expectation, product quality and quantity and services.
To do this; the organization must work hard, make research and put themselves in the shoes of the customers, by doing this, they (organization) are able to tell what the desire of the customers are and see how those desire can be brought to light.
Why is it difficult?
The realization of this goal could be difficult because an organization generally have the motive of serving the public, but in that public exist the customers and due to their diverse nature (character, differences, opinions, wants, needs and expectations).
The organization have to make difficult decisions to see that there customers are and remain happy.
In other for the organization to ease the difficult in making decisions, the first thing is to make research about the customers, this research should comprise of what they want, need and expect.
From the findings in the research conducted, the organization can make decisions that generally comprise of all opinions made by the customers.
Benefits of keeping the customers happy
- They would come back due to the satisfactions they derived from the product or service.
- Since the customers are the public, when they are kept happy. The general public get informed about the product, thereby increasing the customer base.
- It generates more profit as sales and demands increases.
- The business organization would have a healthy business atmosphere
