As far as I’m concerned, many Arsenal Football Club supporters are more loyal with proven integrity than many Nigeria politicians. Irrespective of the cumulative catalog of loses recorded over the years, many Arsenal fans are still faithful to the club but corrupt Nigeria politicians would be decamping from one party to another looking for opportunity to loot from the national treasury.
Those folks that were supporting APC earlier but now supporting PDP and vice versa can be likened to those folks that stopped supporting Arsenal football club recently in the bid to support Manchester United, they will both soon fail eventually.
Imagine a man saying he is tired of enriching the pocket of Toyota vehicle company as he considered buying a Lexus car, such man has successfully done the previous he was trying to avoid.
For car lovers, hope you know it is same company that owns Honda and Acura, same for Nissan and Infinity as placing one ahead the other can be assumed as a prank by the prospective companies. So, you may have to reduce how you argue in comparing these products.
Why should you stop using Close Up toothpaste and go for Pepsodent toothpaste as same Unilever is responsible for the two products?
Why should you be quick to deny Three Crowns Milk and applaud Peak Milk as Friesland is the company that gets the credit for both products?
Don’t be deceived by despising Loya Milk at the expense of Cowbell Milk, Promasidor Nigeria Limited is behind these products.
To mention a few, Is it not shameful to know that the Edo state gubernatorial aspirants from A.P.C and P.D.P were members of the opposite party they are representing now four years ago during the last election?
The large chunk of those we claimed relegated the nation by the 16 years PDP campaign have become front line members in A.P.C today as some have changed party more than once.
Premise on these opinions, what makes us feel one of these two parties is better, rather than think without considering any as an option?
If we say Politicians are acting a movie for us which is portraying corruption, impunity, decadence and nepotism, we have our votes as a remote control to change the channel to a credible option, so we can watch justice, equity and transformation as roles in the national movie.
If we say politicians are comedians and are doing comedies that are hurting our feelings, we can stop their shows by our votes and the active involvements of credible folks in the political space.
We can bridge the great divide between the reactions of the masses and the actions of these politicians by taking necessary prompt measures and giving up on our biases that has mutated into party politics and tribal bigotry.
