Parents are regarded as the earthly guidian of their children till they mature and get into full growth, having developed the right mindset and attained the growth of making decisions on the their own. They are believed to know what's best for their children, they make decisions that shape as well as affects the lives of their children.
Parents are ignorant of certain things they do that affects the lives of their children negatively, which affects the child at an early stage of life and could mature, if such activities are not stopped or put under check. Very Few parents that are aware of this kind of negativity, claim that they do it in other to encourage the child to better self.
Some of the negative attitude of parents that they are ignorant of are;
1) Comparison: Young adults or children hates being compared to anyone or anything especially if it's bad. Generally speaking, nobody like being compared to another if they are not good at something. Children that lacks certain abilities in an area, are mostly found in this situation.
Parents believe that when they compare their children to others, they encourage them to do better but rather the case is mostly otherwise as it would rather bring pain, hatred and angry into the mind of the child, especially when they don't get better in getting the job done. The child tends to develop a negative mindset towards his parents and other people.
2) Insults: No good parenting method involve insults. Parents that wants to appear caring and in the good thoughts of the child should avoid the use of insults even in cases that involves anger. They should rather go for scolding or grounding the child but not insults. Insults only makes the child insultive and makes them feel like they appear in the manner of insult.
3) Over errands: Children that faces this situation always like to be far or not around when their parents are at home. They look for any slightest opportunity to be away from home. Parents have the full right to send their children on errands but this should be done with conscience, knowing that the child also have feelings and is not a SLAVE.
4) Preferential treatments: For peace, this method of parenting should be avoided. Preferential treatment only cause silent hatred in the heart of the child that doesn't receive the same favour. The affected child could nurture such hatred in it's heart or mind without showing it, making it grow but later reveal it.
