Business is a gamble, just the same way gambles are risk. People don't usually like the word gamble because they see it as bad manners but we all have to admit that when an individual is into a business, he gambles everything invested into it (like money, time, reputation, career etc.)
Gambling everything doesn't mean he would lose, it just shows the risk which could either turn profitable or otherwise.
Business tycoons all over the world have had to play the risk (gamble), making sure that they play the game well for them to have attained their level of height in the business world.
Having a successful business is not a matter of working just hard, it's a matter of working with few elements to get the desired goal. These elements are determination, commitment, perseverance, optimistic and most especially being SMART.
Smartness comes with lots of things such as knowledge of the business, pattern of the business, connections in/of the business, strength and weaknesses of the business and people in the business. These elements put into good use would smartly generate into a profitable gamble.
