Being busy is not an excuse for not doing the necessary and that which interest you (OPINION BY MASTERPIECE DAVID OLAWADE)

"To say 'I don't have time,' is like saying, 'I don't want to"- Lao Tzu

I asked someone to help me get something done based on his expertise to that regard as I gave him an ultimatum to get it done. Days after the deadline, he reached me that he was sorry that he was yet to do the work, and he was asking for my consent to start if I'm yet to get it done.

I told him I have considered another option which was done before the deadline and if I'm yet to get it done then I'm quite unserious myself because I can't imagine waiting for him  to get it done after the deadline.

We are in a generation where every one always claim to be busy even when there are obvious traces that they are yet to be productive and committed to doing the necessary that would trigger their progress.

As the scripture says; "where the treasure of a man is, there would his heart be". No matter how busy a man can be, he will always do that which interests him and that which he commits to heart without any excuse.

What ever you didn't do that is taking a longer than expected is a proof that you are not really interested in doing it and yet to commit it at heart. Rather than hide under the deceitful "canopy" of claiming to be busy as many do, it is better to make it clear to whom it may concern that you are not interested. If you are truly interested, there are ways you could get it done against all odds.

“Time you enjoy wasting is not wasted time"- Marthe Troly-Curtin

When a man gives himself to mundanes, frivolities and pleasures, such man is also busy with something. A man can claim to be busy when he is doing something of lesser priority at the expense of doing something of higher value, what makes the difference is his choice and decision.

"Never leave ’till tomorrow which you can do today"- Benjamin Franklin

There is never enough time to do everything but there is always  enough time to the necessary. Every day is a plus, shun procrastination and stop giving excuses for not doing the necessary because without the excuses you may not have done the necessary.
