5 disadvantages of entrepreneurship
Entrepreneurship like every subject has it's weaknesses/disadvantage which are not really noticed on entrepreneur but on close observation are revealed.
This aspect of entrepreneurship are likely to be seen in successful entrepreneurs. They include:
1) Total Control: Entrepreneurs have the habit of trying to control every of their business and their personal lives. They view themselves as authoritarians who are to be obey at all times and not to be questioned. Entrepreneurs have strong desire to control all aspect of their lives, making it what they want.
2) Need for success: They can't bear to see themselves lose in a business venture. Despite the knowledge of the risk factor in starting a business, entrepreneur are more optimistic about their business succeeding than failing.
3) Strong level of optimism: Entrepreneurs have very strong level of optimism in their business succeeding. This could lead to high level of fantasy, derailing them from reality where they ignore certain things that should be taken into consideration like facts, trends, information etc.
4) Easily Distrust: Entrepreneurs easily distrust people in handling their business. They prefer to do it alone or by themselves.
5) Stress: Entrepreneurs are most likely to invest in a business venture alone so they take all responsibility in trying to see the business grow. This encourages stress as they tend to work without the needed workforce. They are willing to tolerate stress.
